As Fernando Mendoza prepares for the start of his NFL career, the Las Vegas Raiders have shared footage of his first interaction with Tom Brady from prior to the draft.

The Raiders posted a video on X showing Mendoza speaking to Brady via Facetime during the NFL scouting combine.

That was the start of a journey culminating with the Raiders taking Mendoza with the No. 1 pick in the 2026 draft.

The Raiders will be hoping Mendoza's career can come close to mirroring even a fraction of what Brady accomplished over his storied 23-year tenure in the NFL.
