Cowboys' Schottenheimer Jokes About AT&T Stadium's Tinted Windows, Grass Field for FIFA World Cup
Dallas Cowboys head coach Brian Schottenheimer isn't letting himself get jealous of the new grass field and tinted windows at AT&T Stadium for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
While speaking to reporters on Tuesday, Schottenheimer joked that the upgrades aren't giving teams and fans an authentic feel for the stadium.
"The grass and the shades are up. They are gonna miss the experience. Not as majestic," Schottenheimer told reporters.

Every NFL Team's To-Do List for Rest of 2026 Offseason
Like the other stadiums hosting World Cup games across the country, AT&T Stadium provided improvements that will be removed by the time the NFL season starts, as the grass fields will be replaced by synthetic turf.
However, it has been made clear emphatically that players would like to keep the grass fields, as the NFL Players Association released the results of a survey revealing 92 percent of players prefer to play on grass.
Schottenheimer knows the NFL has no plans to implement grass fields across the board, but his joke on Tuesday was his way of supporting his players in the ongoing turf vs. grass debate.
