'F--k That,' Eagles' Nick Sirianni Says He Won't Mute His Personality Despite Criticism

Doric SamJun 16, 2026

Philadelphia Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni is known for his fiery personality, and he has no plans to tone things down.

While speaking to The Athletic's Michael Silver, Sirianni declared that he has no intention of muting his personality despite any criticism he's faced.

"F--k that," Sirianni said. "You've got to be you. Especially in leadership roles. Because otherwise people are going to see through it. I'm (at work) way more than I'm at home. I can't possibly carry a façade of being somebody else for going on six years of a job. I'd (have to) be the best actor in the world. I'd be a way better actor than Joey Tribbiani on 'Friends.'"

Since taking over as Eagles head coach in 2021, Sirianni has gotten into spats with opposing players and coaches, and he's even been known to talk trash to fans, whether they support Philadelphia or not.

"When you're going against it, you can't stand it," admitted Eagles star running back Saquon Barkley, who recalled being highly annoyed by his current coach when he played for the rival New York Giants. "If you don't know Nick Sirianni, it's easy not to like Nick Sirianni."

Still, Sirianni has proven to be able to handle the pressure that comes from coaching in Philadelphia, as the team has made the playoffs every year with him at the helm. His personality seems to make him an even more perfect fit for the Eagles, who will be chasing their second Super Bowl title in the past three years during the upcoming season.

"Could anyone be more perfect for Philly?" one rival NFL head coach said of Sirianni. "He goes nuts. He loses his mind. Just like the (Eagles) fans do."
