Eagles Reportedly Sign UFL's Erik Ezukanma, WR Was 4th-Round NFL Draft Pick
Having spent much of their offseason acquiring receivers, the Philadelphia Eagles are bringing in one more in a deal with Erik Ezukanma of the UFL's DC Defenders.
Per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero, the Eagles have agreed to terms on a deal with Ezukanma.
The 26-year-old Ezukanma was a fourth-round pick by the Miami Dolphins in the 2022 NFL draft.

Ezukanma had a four-year college career at Texas Tech. He racked up 2,165 yards and 15 touchdowns on 138 receptions in 35 games from 2018 to '21.
Even though Ezukanma wasn't a burner coming out of college — he ran the 40 in 4.55 seconds — he offered some intrigue thanks to his 33.5-inch arms, which allow him to make plays over smaller defensive backs.
The Dolphins took a chance on Ezukanma with the 125th pick in the 2022 draft. He only appeared in five games over three seasons with the club, catching one pass for three yards.
After being part of the final round of roster cuts for Miami in August 2025, Ezukanma briefly spent time with the Jacksonville Jaguars before being released two months later.
Ezukanma signed with the Defenders in February. He caught 15 passes for 227 yards and one touchdown in the UFL regular season.
DC made it to the United Bowl, losing 27-20 to the Louisville Kings. Ezukanma finished the game without a catch on two targets.
The Eagles have spent this offseason reshaping their pass-catching group. They recently traded A.J. Brown to the New England Patriots for two future draft picks, including a 2028 first-round selection.
Ezukanma joins a group of new Philadelphia receivers that includes Makai Lemon, Dontayvion Wicks, Marquise Brown and Elijah Moore. DeVonta Smith is the only projected starter who was on the team last season.
