Caitlin Clark Calls Out Refs Over Delay of Game Call That Led to Technical Foul in Fever Win vs. Sun
Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark wasn't thrilled with a delay of game call that led to a technical given to the team late in her squad's 85-75 road win over the Connecticut Sun on Saturday, to the point where she called out the referee, per comments to reporters after the game (h/t Chloe Peterson of The Indianapolis Star).
Clark was also given a technical earlier in the game. Kristen Wong of Sports Illustrated provided a breakdown of what happened on both Clark's technical and the delay of game.

Is Kid Cudi the Fever's Lucky Charm? 😂
"On the first, Clark was driving to the rim in the third quarter and battled through some contact from two Sun defenders before failing to get a shot off. After no whistle was blown, she aggressively punched the air in frustration, which led to her getting a technical foul.
"On the second, with less than a minute remaining in the game, Clark poked the ball out on a Sun inbounds play. The ball bounced back to her, and she kicked it in a casual and non-threatening manner. She then hustled after the ball to retrieve it, but a ref called her act of kicking as a delay of game technical to be assessed to the team."
Although those calls didn't go Clark's way, the game certainly did. Clark scored a game-high 25 points while hitting 5-of-10 three-pointers. She also dished five assists to lead Indiana to its third straight victory.
Indiana is now tied for fifth in the WNBA standings. A home date with the Toronto Tempo on Tuesday at 7 p.m. ET is up next.
