Jacob Misiorowski Posts 'Forrest Gump' Meme After Praise from Manager After Historic 'Maddux'
Jacob Misiorowski had some fun with his manager's comments after leading the Milwaukee Brewers to a dominant 6-0 victory over the Philadelphia Phillies on Friday.
After Brewers manager Pat Murphy told reporters Misiorowski was an "amazing young man" who is "Forrest Gump-like," the pitcher posted a Forrest Gump meme of himself on his Instagram Stories:

Landing Spots for Top Hitters
The right-hander turned in a "Maddux" in the game, which is the term given to a pitcher who throws fewer than 100 pitches in a complete-game. Misiorowski struck out 15 and allowed a single hit while throwing 95 pitches in the complete-game performance.
What's more, he also threw a record-setting 104.5 mph pitch, which was the fastest by a starting pitcher in MLB history:
The flamethrower unleashed 58 pitches that touched 100 mph, four of which reached 104 mph or higher. He also wasn't far behind reliever Aroldis Chapman's record of 105.8 mph from a September 2010 game.
It was more of the same for Misiorowski, who has been nearly unhittable this season with a 1.34 ERA, 0.74 WHIP and 131 strikeouts in 87 innings this season. It has been quite the jump for the 24-year-old considering he finished with a 4.36 ERA last season.
With Misiorowski leading the way, the 42-25 Brewers are five games ahead of the second-place St. Louis Cardinals in the National League Central and seem well on their way to a fourth straight division title.
While the Brewers have not made it to the World Series during that span, perhaps that will be different this season with a "Forrest Gump-like" pitcher throwing 104-plus mph fastballs past hitters whenever he takes the mound.
