Watch WWE Stars Try to Bribe Danhausen to Curse Knicks, Spurs Ahead of NBA Finals Game 5

On the eve of Game 5 of the 2026 NBA Finals, WWE gave a segment on Friday Night SmackDown to various superstars trying to convince Danhausen to curse both the New York Knicks or San Antonio Spurs depending on their rooting interest.

Los Garza first approached Danhausen with a bag of money asking him to curse the Knicks, followed by Zack Ryder trying to keep him on the Knicks' side.

The segment ended with Kit Wilson trying to get Danhausen to uncurse The Miz, who has apparently short-circuited since being cursed last month.

Danhausen, who infamously cursed and uncursed the Knicks during their first-round series against the Atlanta Hawks, vowed not to put the curse back on the team. He is, however, happy to take money from his fellow WWE superstars if they want to keep giving it to him.

The Danhausen phenomenon has gotten so big that he was in attendance for Game 3 of the Finals at Madison Square Garden.

It's still unclear how the cursing thing works because the Knicks lost that game. One would assume Danhausen's presence would have made that impossible, but perhaps he's so strong that it overwhelmed the Knicks to the point they couldn't maintain their bearings.

Regardless, the Knicks did get back on track in Game 4 with a historic comeback to take a 3-1 series lead over the Spurs.

The Knicks will go for the series win in San Antonio on Saturday night. It's safe to assume Danhausen will assume all credit for the NBA title if New York pulls it off.
