College World Series 2026 Championship Predictions, Format and Full Bracket

Four of the five SEC programs participating in the 2026 College World Series take the field on Saturday.

The bottom half of the bracket will have a SEC tournament feel to it. The Oklahoma Sooners face the Alabama Crimson Tide in Saturday's opener. The Georgia Bulldogs and Texas Longhorns square off in the nightcap.

The West Virginia Mountaineers and North Carolina Tar Heels captured wins on Friday.

That means the Troy Trojans and Ole Miss Rebels play each other on Sunday in the first of many elimination games in Omaha.

West Virginia and North Carolina each took a vital step to success in Omaha with wins on Friday.

The double-elimination format means that Troy and Ole Miss are still alive, but now they need four wins just to reach the championship series.

The winner of Sunday's West Virginia-North Carolina game will be one win away from the best-of-three final series.

North Carolina impressed on Friday with its pitching. The Tar Heels limited Ole Miss to a pair of runs.

Texas has the pitching staff capable of making a deep run in Omaha as well. The Longhorns allowed 15 runs in five games to reach Omaha.

Georgia has one of the most prolific offenses in the sport, but that is aided by a hitter-friendly home ballpark.

Charles Schwab Field is more forgiving to pitchers. That puts the edge in Texas' favor when it comes to the only matchup of national seeds in the opening round of the CWS.

Oklahoma and Alabama both mashed their way to Omaha, so it's more likely to see a high-scoring affair in Saturday's opener.

Alabama is the nationally-seeded team in the matchup, but the Sooners have been on a tear.

Oklahoma knocked out No. 2 national seed Georgia Tech in the regional round and then outscored Kansas 21-3 in the Lawrence super regional.

If any team is going to dethrone Texas on the bottom half of the bracket, it might be Oklahoma because of how strong its offense is and the confidence it is playing with right now.
