A.J. Epenesa, Eagles Reportedly Agree to Contract in NFL Free Agency
The Philadelphia Eagles reportedly bolstered the team's defensive line depth on Wednesday.
According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Eagles signed former Buffalo Bills defensive end A.J. Epenesa in free agency. Epenesa appeared in 16 games with the Bills last season, including two starts.
He planned to signed with the Cleveland Browns in March but didn't pass his physical, per Schefter.

2025 NFL Re-Draft โฎ๏ธ
Epenesa also visited the Miami Dolphins during his free agency in April, perย Barry Jacksonย of theย Miami Herald.
The 27-year-old spent the first six seasons of his career in Buffalo after he was selected in the second round of the 2020 NFL draft.
Epenesa primarily operated in a rotational role to start his Bills tenure, amassing 2.5 sacks during his first two years in the league.
He eventually became a consistent piece of Buffalo's pass rush from 2022-24, recording at least six sacks and 10 quarterback hits in all three seasons over that span.
Epenesa only picked up 2.5 sacks during his 2025 campaign, but his production could increase with a change of scenery.
It's worth noting that he showcased the ability to disrupt throws near the line of scrimmage in Buffalo, compiling 21 passes defended as a member of the team.
As the Eagles look to go on a deeper playoff run following a Wild Card exit last season, Epenesa might become an important contributor on their defensive front in 2026.
