Chicago's Brian Urlacher Expected to Miss Rest of Season

Urlacher dislocated his wrist in Sunday night's battle with the Green Bay Packers and watched the Bears blow the game while standing on the sidelines.

After surgery to repair the damage, it appears Urlacher will spend the next 15 games doing the same, although no official word has been made from the team.

This is a huge hit to Chicago's line-backing corps, and could result in either Lance Briggs sliding into the middle, Chicago depending on veteran Hunter Hillenmeyer, or digging into the free agency pool.

Former Buccaneer Derrick Brooks has already been rumored as a possible replacement.

Eagles Won't Rule Donovan McNabb Out For Week Two

McNabb hurt his ribs and his fantasy owner's confidence in him after a touchdown run against Carolina late on Sunday.

While it's not nearly as serious as originally feared, there is still the possibility that the Eagles sit McNabb against an aggressive New York Giants' defense and instead let Kevin Kolb take the beating.

Fox Sports' Jay Glazer is reporting that McNabb will "definitely" miss at least one game, but several other reports suggest that Philadelphia may try to get him ready to play.

Monitor the situation all week if you're thinking about playing him.

Carolina's Jon Fox Says Jake Delhomme Still the Starter

Really?

Delhomme has done nothing but throw nine interceptions in his last two starts, and he didn't offer anything that resembled leadership or good offense in yesterday's embarrassing loss to the Eagles.

The running game never got off the ground, but Delhomme will have to have a huge rebound game to hold off Josh McCown or Matt Moore.

Come to think of it, Delhomme probably has fairly solid job security, considering the alternatives.

Early Reports Suggest Anthony Gonzalez Will Miss 2-6 Weeks

It's a rough timetable, but it's better than missing the entire season.

Gonzalez crumpled to the ground untouched early in Indianapolis's matchup with the Jacksonville Jaguars and had to be helped off the field.

It wasn't a good sign that he wasn't able to put any pressure on the injured leg when being helped off. Further testing today (Monday) should reveal the exact extent of the injury.

Receivers Austin Collie and Pierre Garcon figure to benefit immensely while Gonzalez is out.
