Jaxon Smith-Njigba Says He Received Corrected NFL OPOY Award After Viral Typo Shared in Video
The NFL has made amends with Jaxon Smith-Njigba.
The Seattle Seahawks wide receiver's Offensive Player of the Year trophy initially had a typo, but the league sent him a corrected one.
"We checked it," Smith-Njigba told reporters Tuesday. "Everybody cleared it. I had the whole team read it, make sure it was right, and it's good, solid."

The first trophy that the NFL sent Smith-Njigba said "Defensive" rather than "Offensive," which he said was "disrespectful."
The typo came after comedian Druski mispronounced his name during the NFL Honors.
Smith-Njigba said Tuesday that he isn't holding any grudges at this point.
"The Super Bowl, it's a lot, a lot of things are thrown at you, and I tried my best to stay focused . . . on the game, but now I have no [negative] feelings, ways towards the NFL, Roger [Goodell] or Druski," Smith-Njigba said. "So, I'll just take my trophy and accolades and all that stuff and chill at home."
Smith-Njigba is coming off an outstanding season in which he recorded 119 receptions for 1,793 yards and 10 touchdowns, helping lead the Seahawks to a Super Bowl victory over the New England Patriots.
