There was no shortage of physicality in the first quarter of Game 3 of the 2026 NBA Finals on Monday.

San Antonio Spurs star Victor Wembanyama drew the ire of New York Knicks star Jalen Brunson with an early shove away from the ball:

Officials did not call a foul and surely missed the play, but Brunson let his feelings be known with his response.

It wasn't the only physical play of the first half. Some lingering frustration for the Knicks as a whole might have led to a technical foul from Josh Hart:

With so much on the line, both teams started out with a physical approach.

It was the Spurs that handled it better in the end, finishing with a 115-111 road win to cut the series lead to 2-1.
