Five-star shooting guard Josh Jackson can ball; 247Sports has the 6'7", 185-pounder listed as the No. 1 prospect in the class of 2016.
But what the 18-year-old Detroit native did at the Big Strick Classic in the Bronx—named after streetball legend John Strickland—was intense.
Before the game, which had an exhibition feel, Jackson said he was going to drop 50 points. Then he went out on the court and did exactly that, courtesy of an array of dunks and jump shots from all over the court.
His 50 points broke the Big Strick Classic scoring record, previously held by Phoenix Suns guard Archie Goodwin. Most importantly, Jackson's Team USA came away with a 159-137 victory versus players from the New York Tri-State area.
