How MJF Got Injured Revealed in New AEW Rumors and Latest on Backstage 'Heat' on Rush
After AEW World Champion MJF was pulled from his scheduled appearance at Beyond Wrestling on Friday due to an injury, new details have emerged on what caused his absence.
Per Jeremy Lambert of Fightful, MJF was injured during his title defense against Rush on Wednesday's episode of Dynamite. However, the incident didn't cause any friction for Rush backstage.
"Many people speculated that MJF's injury on AEW Dynamite happened on the Tombstone on the barricade, which isn't the case," the report stated. "The injury happened on a RUSH knee in the corner. @FightfulSelect was told that it was a freak accident and there is no heat on RUSH whatsoever."
MJF retained his title against Rush, but he was seen favoring his left knee in the aftermath.
It's not yet clear how long MJF will be sidelined, but the world champ could need some time away from the ring before taking on his next challenger.
