Roberts' NFL loyalties came up because the Dodgers welcomed seven-time Pro Bowler Myles Garrett for Saturday's game. The newly acquired Los Angeles Rams star threw out the first pitch.
For a lot of people in Southern California, the Chargers' relocation from San Diego to Los Angeles in 2017 was enough to ditch the franchise for good. Their on-field fortunes in relation to the Rams has only made it more difficult to keep supporting them.
While it doesn't appear Roberts totally jumped ship from one L.A. team to the other, lessening your emotional investment in the Chargers has historically been a smart call.
