Sabrina Ionescu remained sidelined Saturday for the Liberty with back soreness, according to the Associated Press, after missing the first five games of the season because of an ankle injury. She has appeared in one game this season, a May 24 loss to the Dallas Wings.
Stewart led the Liberty in Ionescu's continued absence, finishing with 30 points and four steals.
The rest of the starters combined for 32 points, placing a heavy scoring burden on the two-time MVP in a win that moved New York to a 7-4 record.
Pauline Astier added 12 points, while Satou Sabally contributed 13 off the bench on 66 percent shooting.
Clark finished with her second-lowest scoring output of the season, recording 10 points, seven rebounds and nine assists.
Despite a quiet night for the former Rookie of the Year, Indiana's starting unit carried the offense, with the five starters combining for 64 points.
The effort was not enough to overcome the Liberty as the Fever fell to 5-5 on the season.
The Fever will travel to face the Washington Mystics on Monday, while the Liberty visit the Connecticut Sun.
