Mendoza completed his bachelor's degree in business administration and management in three years at Cal before transferring to Indiana, receiving his undergraduate degree and walking across the stage on May 24.
The 22-year-old also started under center for the Golden Bears from 2023-24 before putting together a 2025 season with the Hoosiers in which he captured a national championship and earned Heisman Trophy honors.
Now, Mendoza will look to establish himself as Las Vegas' franchise quarterback after he was selected with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2026 NFL draft.
