Brown previously donned No. 11 during his time with the Eagles and Tennessee Titans. He did wear No. 1 in college at the University of Mississippi.
Patriots legend Julian Edelman gave Brown his blessing to wear No. 11, but the three-time Pro Bowler opted to go back to his Ole Miss days when picking a jersey number.
The Patriots will be hoping that Brown has more success than the previous wide receiver to wear No. 1. That was Ja'Lynn Polk, who only played one season with New England in 2024 and caught 12 passes in 15 games.
