New Patriots Rumors on WR 'Interested' in Trade After A.J. Brown's Arrival in Eagles Deal
After the New England Patriots acquired star wide receiver A.J. Brown from the Philadelphia Eagles earlier this week, it sounds like another wideout is hoping for a new home.
During Tuesday's episode of The Adam Schefter Podcast, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported that Patriots receiver Kayshon Boutte is "interested" in being traded this offseason.
"One wide receiver I'm still suspecting that something might happen with is Kayshon Boutte," Schefter said. "He has not been there for the offseason program. He has been interested in a trade. I would think that at some point this summer, we may get action there. Another deal, Kayshon Boutte going somewhere else. We'll see how that works out."

Boutte is entering the final year of his rookie contract, and he's likely hoping to prove himself this year before becoming an unrestricted free agent in 2027.
However, the arrival of Brown will surely impact the target share in New England this season, as the three-time Pro Bowler is now the No. 1 option in the passing attack for rising star quarterback Drake Maye. The Patriots also signed former Green Bay Packers wide receiver Romeo Doubs this offseason, which could further reduce Boutte's opportunities to produce during the upcoming campaign.
A sixth-round pick in the 2023 NFL draft, Boutte has produced 78 catches for 1,159 yards and nine touchdowns across 34 career games. He could be a serviceable depth piece, but it would be a surprise if a team is willing to deal anything of significance to the Patriots in a trade for him.
