Aaron Donald Return Rumors Addressed by Rams GM in New Video After Myles Garrett Trade
Los Angeles Rams general manager Les Snead is not shutting down the possibility Aaron Donald could come out of retirement to play with new Rams defender Myles Garrett.
"I think Sean [McVay] mentioned yesterday, they've definitely communicated, texted, even talked," Snead said when asked about Donald's potential return on Wednesday's episode of Wake Up Barstool.. "Best strategy is to let him continue working out... let him sleep on it."
Snead concluded, "When I do think about it, it's kind of a cool— it would be a unique story to the Rams, for sure."

McVay on Garrett Trade 😂
The Rams acquired Garrett from the Cleveland Browns on Monday in exchange for a package including Jared Verse and a 2027 first-rounder.
McVay initially addressed rumors about Donald's potential return during Garrett's introductory press conference Tuesday.
"Listen, if he is interested, there is no [question]— Here's what I would say. You talk to Aaron, and see what he is saying about that," McVay said.
McVay continued: "Aaron's a guy that I stay really close in touch with, and I know the respect that he has for Myles. Talked to him about the ability to be able to bring him on board. If Aaron decides he wants to dust them off at the age of 35, I bet you he could still do it at a pretty high clip."
Donald last played in the NFL during the 2023 season before announcing his retirement in March 2024.
After the Rams' trade for Garrett, Donald indicated to both ESPN's Pat McAfee and NFL insider Jordan Schultz he was considering a return.
"If I can find the fire, it's a possibility," Donald reportedly told Schultz about a potential return.
Should Donald make a bid to come back after two seasons away from the NFL, it sounds like both McVay and Snead might be on board with giving him a shot at joining Garrett on the Rams' defensive line this summer.
The Rams are continuing OTA workouts this week, followed on June 15 by the start of mandatory minicamp.
