Per Jon Noble of The Race, the deal is expected to be the longest for any current F1 driver that runs into the early-2030s.
Leclerc made it clear at the end of 2025 that this year would go a long way toward determining his future.
"It's now or never, so I really hope that we will start this new era on the right foot, because it's important for the four years after (to the end of F1's next five-year rules cycle)," Leclerc said in December.
Those comments came after Leclerc went winless over a full season for the second time in three years and made seven podiums in 24 races. He finished a distant fifth in the standings with 242 points. Lando Norris won the title with 423 points.
The early results for Leclerc this season have been encouraging, though he is still chasing his first win since the U.S. Grand Prix in October 2024. He has four top-four finishes in five races.
Ferrari currently ranks second in the team standings with 147 points, trailing only Mercedes at the top with 219 points.
Leclerc will celebrate his new deal in the Monaco Grand Prix on Sunday at 9 a.m. ET. He previously won here in 2024.
