Angel Reese's Final Box Score Stats, Highlights as Dream Beat Sun
Another night, another double-double for Angel Reese.
The Atlanta Dream power forward put up 12 points, 13 rebounds, five assists, a steal and a block during her team's 91-75 win over the Connecticut Sun in Tuesday night's Commissioner's Cup showdown.
It was Reese's fifth double-double of the young season, though there was also a first on the night—her first three of the season:
Fans enjoyed Reese's solid night:
Rhyne Howard (36 points) and Allisha Gray (26 points, seven rebounds) provided the bulk of the offense for the Reign, while Jordin Canada also had a double-double (12 points, 10 assists).
The Dream are now 6-2 on the season, while the Sun have dropped to 2-9.
Reese has divided opinion since entering the WNBA given her limited offensive bag, though her ability to impact the game in multiple ways is hard to ignore. On a more competitive team in Atlanta—where she isn't required to be a primary offensive threat—her skill set is proving quite valuable.
Time will tell how high the Dream can ascend this season, but the Reese era is certainly off to a promising start.
