Watch A.J. Brown Report to Patriots for 1st Time Since Eagles Trade in New Trending Video
A.J. Brown didn't waste any time checking out his new digs after being traded by the Philadelphia Eagles to the New England Patriots on Monday.
The Patriots posted a video of Brown reporting to their training facilities prior to the start of Tuesday's OTA session.
Monday's trade saw New England send a 2028 first-round draft pick and a 2027 fifth-round selection to the Eagles in exchange for Brown.
Even though the deal had been expected for some time, the Eagles waited until the post-June 1 deadline to move the star wide receiver for cap purposes.
Brown is stepping into a situation with the Patriots where he will be the No. 1 target for Drake Maye. The three-time Pro Bowl wideout has put up more than 1,000 yards in six of his first seven NFL seasons.
Stefon Diggs, who led the Patriots with 1,013 yards last season, was released by the team in March.
The trade also reunites Brown with Mike Vrabel, who was his head coach for the Tennessee Titans from 2019 to '21. Tennessee went 32-17 with three playoff appearances during that span, including an appearance in the 2019 AFC Championship Game.
New England will be counting on Brown to be a finishing piece for a very promising roster that had a breakout season in 2025. The Patriots finished 14-3 and advanced to the Super Bowl, losing 29-13 to the Seattle Seahawks.
The Patriots have five OTA sessions remaining, including Tuesday, before a summer break. They will reconvene in July for the start of training camp.
