Browns Fans Should Eye Arch Manning to Replace Shedeur After Garrett Trade, Says NFL Draft Expert

Rams Trade for Myles Garrett 🚨
"[Cleveland's] owner, Jimmy Haslam, very tight with the Manning family," he noted. "And I think [the Garrett trade] sets them up to go make the move, if they have to next year, to go get Arch Manning. And that's how this trade will ultimately be judged. Right now, if you had to grade it, you'd say Rams, they killed it right now, making this move. Ten years down the road, if [the Browns] end up with Arch Manning and he becomes the long-term answer at quarterback for the Browns—who haven't had one in forever—then they'll win the trade."
The Browns will head into the 2026 season with Deshaun Watson, Shedeur Sanders and Dillon Gabriel as their potential options at the position. It's grim, in other words, and upgrading the quarterback position will likely be the primary goal for Cleveland at the 2027 draft, barring Sanders winning the job and impressing in a major way.
That seems somewhat unlikely after he threw 10 interceptions and took 23 sacks in just eight games last season (seven starts), but it's certainly not impossible. More likely, however, is the Browns being in the market for a player like Manning next offseason.
