WWE Must Wait For This Roman Reigns Feud, King and Queen of the Ring Picks, More Raw Fallout
Continuing the WWE action in the Inalpi Arena in Turin, Italy, the June 1 Raw on Netflix featured massive fallout from Clash in Italy.
Roman Reigns received a powerful show of respect when Jacob Fatu publicly acknowledged him, while Seth Rollins earned definitive revenge on The Vision by defeating Bron Breakker.
The King and Queen of the Ring tournaments began with Oba Femi and Iyo Sky advancing from their Fatal 4-Way qualifiers.
This show carried a special air thanks to the Italian crowd behind the action and made clear that WWE is ramping up into the summer.
Oba Femi Must Win King of the Ring
1 of 5Signs have pointed to a massive rise up the card for Oba Femi since he first arrived on Raw. His presence and dominance outmatch most of the roster.
His feud with Brock Lesnar solidified that status, highlighting how terrifying The Ruler will be in WWE for years to come.
With one win and one loss to his name though against The Beast Incarnate, it would be easy for WWE to want to deliver the rubber match at SummerSlam.
That would be a mistake. Oba does not need to fight Lesnar again, certainly not when the alternative is a King of the Ring victory and World Heavyweight Championship reign.
The Ruler should run through the field all the way to Roman Reigns at SummerSlam and take on The OTC with a crowd behind him to conquer the biggest name in WWE.
That would be a story that could carry the build to SummerSlam, and no one else is right to challenge Reigns or Cody Rhodes at that level through this King of the Ring tournament.
This is the only path forward and deviating from it to give the win to Bron Breakker, Seth Rollins, LA Knight or others would fail to deliver the same moment.
Time to Crown the Queen Charlotte Flair
2 of 5
It is wild to realize that there have been three Queen of the Rings, and none of them have been Charlotte Flair.
The Queen herself needs this accolade more than she might ever need another world title run, and the time feels right.
Rhea Ripley is without a challenger but is circling one of her biggest rivals in Flair once more.
The team of Flair and Alexa Bliss has made both successful stars fan favorites and allowed fans to truly see The Queen's natural personality.
At most times in her career, it would be easy to say Flair does not need any more accolades, but this is one of those perfect-storm moments that WWE cannot skip.
Becky Lynch Can Save Liv Morgan's Title Reign
3 of 5
Liv Morgan is the women's world champion, yet no one is trying to challenge her for the top prize in the women's division.
Instead, she has entered the Queen of the Ring tournament with the goal appearing to be conquering both brands and reign as a double world champion.
This is an unlikely scenario with fresh names eager to win the tourney, but it does further illustrate the problem with Morgan's reign: a lack of serious threats.
That can change next week, though, if Becky Lynch costs Liv her chance in the Queen of the Ring.
The Man has long hovered around the current champion, feuding with Morgan in multiple eras, and she is needed again to help solidify the champion's reign.
Becky spent enough time in the Women's Intercontinental Championship scene and is needed desperately as a top women's title challenger.
She may be a heel at present, but an obnoxious Man mocking The Judgment Day could be the recipe for a face turn that can elevate Lynch back up the card.
This can be the story that carries Morgan through SummerSlam before Stephanie Vaquer returns to lay claim to a rematch against the woman who dethroned her.
Roman Reigns vs. Seth Rollins Must Wait
4 of 5With a big main event win, Seth Rollins may have officially put Bron Breakker behind him, perhaps even the whole Vision.
His indication that he wants the World Heavyweight Championship again does suggest he is after Roman Reigns next.
That would be a mistake. Fans may be eager to see Reigns and Rollins clash again, but the timing needs to be right.
Rushing a potential WrestleMania headliner onto the SummerSlam card would be a desperate move that WWE would regret.
There is plenty of time to build the foundation for a return to one of WWE's strongest modern rivalries, and both men have plenty of other options in the meantime.
While Reigns deals with Oba Femi, Rollins can continue to work with Montez Ford in his pursuit of revenge against The Vision.
Once that story is fully complete, Rollins could also face The Ruler, or he could turn back to LA Knight or CM Punk. Maybe even a move to SmackDown until 2027 would help freshen him up.
At this point, Rollins does not feel like a man ready to topple The Tribal Chief as he has in the past, and he will again with the right build.
The number one priority is likely keeping both men healthy so they can deliver a definitive rivalry match at WrestleMania 43 next year.
Italy Delivers Another Special Atmosphere For WWE Overseas
5 of 5While Clash in Italy was a middling premium live event for WWE, it was a show elevated by the crowd.
That same crowd energy extended to Raw where the Italian fans showed out for the whole night, elevating every segment.
They sang the entrance themes of multiple stars. They popped for the biggest names and some personal favorites.
The crowd support for Giulia was especially welcome given her recent SmackDown struggles, and they sold her as a real threat in a match where she was designated to be pinned.
If anything is transferable for this week of action in Italy, it should be that swell of support for Giulia, who is too talented to be forgotten in a women's division that needs fresh names.
