Belmont Stakes 2026 Post Positions and Complete Listing for Every Horse

After skipping out on the Preakness Stakes, Kentucky Derby winner Golden Tempo is back to lead the field at the 2026 Belmont Stakes.

The official post positions and odds for the Belmont were revealed on Monday, with Golden Tempo among the favorites at 9-2 out of the ninth position. Here's a look at the lineup for Saturday's race at Saratoga Race Course.

While Golden Tempo's trainer, Cherie DeVaux, chose not to have him pursue a Triple Crown by sitting out the Preakness, he will face some tough competition as he pursues his second win in the Big 3 races.

Renegade, Commandment, Chief Wallabee and Emerging Market were all among the favorites in the Kentucky Derby and are once again in the same boat in the Belmont, with all of them having odds shorter than 10-1.

Still, DeVaux expressed confidence in Golden Tempo, who earned a historic win at the Kentucky Derby while facing 23-1 odds.

"He's continuing to tout himself, acts really confident, really looks great on the track," she told Mike Kane of Thoroughbred Daily News. "All of those metrics are trending in that positive direction."

The third and final jewel of the Triple Crown is sure to produce an exciting race between a talented field of horses on Saturday.
