New WWE Night of Champions 2026 Match Card Predictions After Clash in Italy
On the heels of a star-studded Clash in Italy premium live event, WWE returns to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on June 27 for Night of Champions, which features the finals of the King and Queen tournaments.
Besides the crowning of the 2026 King and Queen of the Ring, what can fans expect from the show, and which Superstars will have prominent placement on it?
Find out with these too-early predictions for the premium live event.
King of the Ring Final
1 of 4
WWE announced the bracket for the 2026 King of the Ring tournament after Sunday's Clash in Italy, and this year's field is jam-packed with potential winners.
When scanning the lineup, Bron Breakker instantly jumps out as a potential winner. Given his unfinished business with Seth Rollins, himself in this year's tournament, a scenario in which The Vision costs their former leader and assists The Badass in advancing to the finals is not out of the realm of possibility.
His opponent, then, should be LA Knight, who has a history with the heel faction but has also made clear his intent to challenge Roman Reigns for the World Heavyweight Championship and oppose The Bloodline at the same time.
Knight getting over the hump by exorcising The Vision, while writing the next chapter of his rivalry with The Bloodline, in grand fashion at Night of Champions, makes total sense and pays off an ongoing narrative.
Queen of the Ring Final
2 of 4
Like the men's tournament, the Queen of the Ring is loaded with potential victors, including a controversial addition, reigning women's world champion, Liv Morgan.
While she could easily win and set up a rare opportunity to become a double champion, and there is potential for the continuation of her ongoing story with Judgment Day teammate Roxanne Perez, one other Superstar stands out as the likely winner.
Jacy Jayne has momentum on her side, has impressed as the leader of Fatal Influence since arriving on the main roster, and is most definitely trending toward a championship opportunity.
Her winning the tournament and becoming Queen of the Ring would set her up for a high-stakes match with Rhea Ripley at SummerSlam. A tournament final against newly-turned babyface Chelsea Green, or new women's intercontinental champion Sol Ruca, seems like a great way to earn her heat and showcase some fresh faces in the tournament.
Undisputed WWE Championship Match: Cody Rhodes vs. Gunther
3 of 4
As he has more than once in the last year, The American Nightmare benefited from a screwy finish Sunday in Italy, defeating Gunther to retain the Undisputed WWE Championship despite The Ring General's foot being under the bottom rope.
The referee did not catch it, and the botch will likely be the emphasis for a rematch. What better place for it than the setting of their first one-on-one bout, back in November of 2024 at Crown Jewel in Riyadh?
With Gunther out of the King of the Ring tournament, it is unlikely that WWE is going to sit him on the sidelines and allow him to cool down when he is the primary heel on Friday nights.
A rematch with Rhodes should be expected, as should a new champion.
Roman Reigns and Jacob Fatu vs. Solo Sikoa and Tama Tonga
4 of 4
The closing moments of Clash in Italy saw Roman Reigns, The Usos, and Jacob Fatu exit the ring while Solo Sikoa, Tama, and Talla Tonga watched on.
While Night of Champions may be too quick a turnaround to present a match between The Bloodline and The MFTs, it is a means to get Reigns on the card without it being another world title defense.
WWE did not tease the next chapter of this renewed Bloodline Saga so as not to have any follow-up. While they do prefer the slow build, a tag match in Riyadh keeps everyone at the forefront, sets up a renewed rivalry for power between Reigns and Sikoa, and potentially continues to build tension between Solo and Tama Tonga, who have not been on the same page of late.
It also forces Fatu to partner with Reigns in the wake of their rivalry and test whether he is willing to abide by the conditions of the Tribal Combat match by falling in line with the OTC.
