Amanda Serrano vs. Cheyenne Hanson Judges' Scorecards, Punch Stats and Prize Money

Amanda Serrano successfully retained her WBO and WBA featherweight titles with a second round TKO win over Cheyenne Hanson on the main card of MVPW 03 from El Paso, Texas.

It didn't take long for Serrano to take over the fight. She had the more effective jab in the first round, showcasing her technical advantage. 

Then she kicked it into high gear for the second round. Hanson showed she was willing to throw hands and exchange which Serrano quickly proved was a mistake. The champion swarmed her with combinations and forced the ref stoppage to save Hanson from additional damage. 

The knockout finish also put Serrano in legendary company. She is now tied with Christy Martin for the most knockouts in women's boxing history.

This is far from the biggest bullet point on Serrano's resume. Hanson was a massive underdog and has yet to break out on the world championship stage in boxing after a successful kickboxing career.

That being said, it was a reminder that the 37-year-old Serrano is still one of the most skilled women in the sport right now.

Fans who have enjoyed Serrano's career are running out of time to watch her. With 49 career wins, she has said publicly that the end of her boxing career is near.

However, there are still some possibilities that are interesting for her. That includes another foray into MMA where she holds a 2-0-1 record. With Jake Paul's MVP company making its boxing debut on Netflix a few weeks ago, Serrano is open to getting back in the cage.

"If MVP plans to continue with this, just throw me in there for one fight," Serrano said, per ESPN's Andreas Hale. "If the opponent is right, I don't mind going back in there for a little elbows and kicks."

Serrano went on to mention Gina Carano as a potential opponent. The former EliteXC star made her return to the cage for the first time in more than a decade against Ronda Rousey, but lost in just 17 seconds.

Whether she decides to chase win No. 50 in the boxing ring or get another tentpole fight in MMA, it seems as though Serrano is ready to get the attention of the combat sports world at least one more time.
