Watch Giants' Cam Skattebo Celebrate HR with Backflip in Video at Celebrity Game Amid Injury Rehab

New York Giants running back Cam Skattebo doesn't appear to be too limited by the ankle injury that ended his 2025 season.

After Skattebo hit a home run at a celebrity softball game hosted by teammate Brian Burns on Saturday, he celebrated with a backflip as he finished rounding the bases.

Skattebo is working his way back from a right ankle dislocation, open tibia fracture and ruptured deltoid ligament that he suffered in Oct. 2025.

The injury occurred during the Giants' 38-20 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 8.

Skattebo previously revealed that he's targeting a Week 1 return next season.

"Obviously there's ups and downs in the injury process and coming back and rehabbing, but the mental battle has been the hardest part: making sure that I trust it fully," Skattebo said May 18, per Stephen Whyno of the Associated Press. "I'm a little ways out. Not too far, but I'll be ready to go. Week 1, I'll be ready to go."

While he didn't participate in OTAs, he was spotted on the field doing individual work.

Skattebo put together a promising rookie season for the Giants after they selected him in the fourth round of the 2025 NFL draft, rushing for 410 yards and five touchdowns in eight contests while averaging 4.1 yards per carry.

He also caught 24 passes for 207 yards and two scores, showcasing his backflip celebration on multiple occasions.

Skattebo will be looking to help the Giants climb up the NFC East standings and improve upon their 4-13 finish last year.
