Bobby Valentine Wears Famous Disguise From 1999 Mets Game in Photos, Video, Throws 1st Pitch

The New York Mets paid homage to an iconic moment in the franchise's history on Friday.

The team handed out disguises like the one former manager Bobby Valentine wore in 1999. Valentine was in attendance to throw the first pitch, and he also wore his disguise.

During the 1999 season, Valentine had been ejected from a game against the Toronto Blue Jays, but returned to the dugout wearing a fake mustache and sunglasses. It created one of the most memorable moments of Valentine's career.

Valentine was the Mets' manager from 1996 to 2002. He also managed the Texas Rangers and Boston Red Sox.

Valentine will be back at Citi Field on Saturday as he is inducted into the Mets Hall of Fame alongside his former teammate, Lee Mazzilli.
