Angel Reese's Final Box Score Stats, Highlights as Dream Beat Fire

Atlanta Dream forward Angel Reese posted her fourth double-double (18 points, 12 rebounds) in seven games this season to lead her team to an 86-66 road win over the Portland Fire on Friday evening.

Reese shot 6-of-14 from the field, including a few nice first half buckets in the post.

She also made 6-of-7 free throws, including one on a three-point play in the third quarter to give Atlanta a 57-43 lead.

Five of her boards were on the offensive glass, and the third-year pro also added five assists.

She was part of a tremendous team-wide defensive effort. Atlanta amassed 16 steals, and Portland committed 28 turnovers.

Atlanta led 59-53 after three quarters but dominated the final frame, outscoring the Fire 27-13.

Elsewhere in the Atlanta box score, Rhyne Howard (six) and Naz Hilmon (five) combined for 11 steals. They each scored 14 points as well. Allisha Gray added 13 points and three steals.

For Portland, four players scored in double digits, led by Sarah Ashlee Barker's 14 off the bench.

Atlanta improved to 5-2, good enough for a second-place tie with the Golden State Valkyries in the WNBA standings. A home matchup with the last-place Connecticut Sun looms next on Tuesday evening.
