Anthony Joshua returns to the ring on Saturday looking to tune himself up against Kristian Prenga ahead of a possible matchup with Tyson Fury in the fall.

Joshua returns to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia where he has picked up wins over Otto Wallin and Francis Ngannou to take on the Albanian heavyweight.

It marks the first time that Joshua has fought since he defeated Jake Paul via sixth-round knockout in December 2025.

The intrigue in this bout doesn't necessarily come from the fight itself. As the odds would indicate, there isn't a ton of hope that Prenga will be able to pull off an upset.

This is about seeing what kind of Anthony Joshua we could see fight Tyson Fury in the fall.

Joshua and Fury have been two of the biggest stars of the heavyweight division for a generation, yet the two Brits have yet to share the ring. There are still key details that need to be ironed out, but both sides have said they are targeting a November date.

Fury already looked good in his tune-up fight for the bout. He finished Mariusz Wach in seven rounds on Friday. Now, the pressure is on Joshua to put on a dominant performance and nail down the details for the fight.

Prenga has legit power. All of his 20 wins have come by knockout and eight of those were in the first round.

Getting those power punches to find a home against a fighter like Anthony Joshua will be his biggest task. That being said, Joshua's losses against Andy Ruiz Jr. and Daniel Dubois are reminder that he's not invincible.
