Fresh Backstage WWE and AEW Rumors

WrestleMania 42

Is Bron a Lock for Mania Main Event? 🤔

Enzo Amore is reportedly expected to make his WWE return soon, but the jury is still out on former tag team partner Big Cass.

According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter (h/t WrestlePurists), the "current plan" is for Enzo to begin working on the NXT brand soon.

Meltzer added that while nothing regarding Big Cass returning to WWE is "official or even talked about heavily in the company," there have been major rumors linking Cass and WWE from outside sources.

The latest rumors surrounding Enzo line up with other reports from last week about him possibly returning to WWE eight years after his release.

Fightful Select (h/t WrestlePurists) recently reported that independent promoters are "operating under the assumption" that Enzo is going to sign with WWE.

That came after False Finish reported that Enzo has been spotted at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida, multiple times recently.

When it comes to Cass, who currently goes by the name Big Bill in AEW, things appear to be far less certain.

As part of its report on Enzo being present at the WWE PC, Fightful reported that Big Cass' AEW contract is believed to be expiring in late May or early June.

Per WrestleVotes on Fightful Select (h/t Steve Carrier of Ringside News), WWE has interest in reuniting Enzo and Cass as a team if Cass does indeed become available.

Enzo and Cass formed a team in NXT in 2013 and became one of the most popular acts in the history of the brand. That did not translate to main roster success, though, as the decision was made to split them up just one year after they got called up in 2016.

Both Enzo and Cass were released from WWE in 2018, and while they have both remained relevant in the wrestling world in the years since then, a reunion in WWE would likely be the biggest possible move both Enzo and Cass could make.

Reported Plans for Vaquer Amid Injury Recovery

Former WWE women's world champion Stephanie Vaquer is reportedly not expected to return to WWE programming this weekend despite some previous speculation to the contrary.

According to PWInsider.com (h/t WrestlePurists), some in WWE expected Vaquer to be back in the fold by this weekend, and there were pitches for her to return this week on Raw, but she is not expected to travel to Italy for Sunday's Clash in Italy premium live event.

Vaquer has not competed in a match since WrestleMania 42 last month when she dropped the women's world title to Liv Morgan.

While La Primera confronted Morgan on the Raw after WrestleMania to set up a potential rematch, she was attacked by The Judgment Day the following week and written off television.

Bryan Alvarez of Wrestling Observer Live (h/t Carrier) reported at the time that Vaquer was dealing with a legitimate injury, and the timetable for her return was unknown.

WWE announced that Vaquer suffered a sprained AC joint in her shoulder, but it is unclear if that is the actual injury she is dealing with.

Since Vaquer was written off TV, Morgan has seemingly been in flux, as she has not entered into a new rivalry involving her title.

That suggests WWE may simply be waiting on Vaquer's return before truly getting the ball rolling on Liv's title reign.

However, if Vaquer does not travel to Italy, her return will not occur on the June 1 episode of Raw since that show will emanate from Inalpi Arena in Turin, Italy, just like Clash in Italy.

WWE Reportedly Considering Adding Members to The Vision

The Vision are currently down multiple members due to injury, but reinforcements reportedly could be on the way.

According to Meltzer (h/t WrestlePurists), there has been talk of The Vision adding new members, and it started even before Logan Paul got injured last weekend at Saturday Night's Main Event.

Paul is the latest in a long line of Vision members to get hurt, as WWE announced that he tore his triceps while he and Austin Theory successfully defended the World Tag Team Championships against The Street Profits at SNME.

Seth Rollins was the first member of The Vision to get injured, as he hurt his shoulder last year, which led to Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed turning on him and writing him off TV by attacking him.

In the months that followed, Breakker went down with a hernia and Reed suffered a torn biceps, which kept both of them out for an extended period of time.

Breakker returned at WrestleMania 42, but Reed is still on the shelf, and Rollins is no longer part of The Vision.

Currently, Theory and Breakker are the only healthy Vision members, and they are moving forward as world tag team champs with Breakker replacing Paul.

The Vision is now more of a tag team than it is a stable, so the group would undoubtedly benefit from some additions, as well as the eventual return of Reed.
