SF Giants Unveil Pikachu Jersey as Fan Giveaway for Pokémon Worlds Night as Part of New Promotion

The San Francisco Giants are celebrating the upcoming Pokémon World Championships with a Pikachu-themed jersey giveaway.

Fans who purchase special event tickets for an Aug. 27 game between the Giants and Arizona Diamondbacks will receive a special Pokémon jersey, the MLB announced Thursday.

The game will also feature a first pitch thrown by Pikachu as well as a postgame Pokémon drone show, according to the brand.

First pitch between the Diamondbacks and Giants is set for 6:45 p.m. local time at Oracle Park.

The Pokémon World Championships will start the following day. The annual esports event runs from Aug. 28 to Aug. 30 at the Moscone Center in San Francisco.
