New MLB Prospect Rankings 2026 Revealed by Keith Law, Comparing to Kiley McDaniel & B/R's Lists?

Timothy RappMay 28, 2026

The Athletic's Keith Law updated his 2026 top-50 MLB prospect rankings on Thursday. But how does that compare to the rankings from B/R's Joel Reuter earlier in May, or from ESPN's Kiley McDaniel, which released last week?

Let's take a look at the top-10 from all three. Here are Law's rankings:

PlayerTeam
1. Jesús Made, SSBrewers
2. Leo De Vries, SSAthletics
3. Frankin Arias, SSRed Sox
4. Kade Anderson, LHPMariners
5. Ethan Salas, CPadres
6. George Lombard, SSYankees
7. Josuar Gonzalez, SSGiants
8. Ryan Sloan, RHPMariners
9. Seth Hernandez, RHPPirates
10. Max Clark, OFTigers

Here's Reuter:

PlayerTeam
1. Jesús Made, SSBrewers
2. Leo De Vries, SSAthletics
3. Colt Emerson, SSMariners
4. Trey Yesavage, RHPBlue Jays
5. Josue De Paula, OFDodgers
6. Seth Hernandez, RHPPirates
7. Kade Anderson, LHPMariners
8. Walker Jenkins, OFTwins
9. Frankin Arias, SSRed Sox
10. Eli Willits, SSNationals

And here's McDaniel:

1. Jesús Made, SSBrewers
2. Leo De Vries, SSAthletics
3. Colt Emerson, SSMariners
4. Max Clark, OFTigers
5. Sebastian Walcott, SSRangers
6. Frankin Arias, SSRed Sox
7. Seth Hernandez, RHPPirates
8. Eli Willits, SSNationals
9. Kade Anderson, LHPMariners
10. George Lombard, SSYankees

Only five players appear on all three top-10s: Made, De Vries (ranked Nos. 1-2 on every list), Arias, Anderson and Hernandez.

As Law wrote on Made, the young shortstop is "performing well at the plate in Double A despite only turning 19 in early May, with a .277/.353/.452 line that puts him well above the Southern League average. His defense at shortstop has taken a hit as he's gotten thicker and has lost some lateral range, however."

De Vries is also 19, and as McDaniel noted, he has "exceptional feel for pulling and lifting the ball as a teenage switch-hitting shortstop already in Double-A. That's a ton of stuff to like, which explains why it took a player like him for the San Diego Padres to pry all-world closer Mason Miller away from the Athletics in a trade."
