New 'Call of Duty Modern Warfare 4' Revealed in Epic Trailer with Release Date Announced
A new Call of Duty game is coming on Oct. 23.
The video game franchise announced the launch date for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 on Thursday and released a trailer as well:
The trailer includes an early look at the gameplay and storylines that include war on the Korean Peninsula following an invasion.
"Developed by Infinity Ward, Modern Warfare 4 pushes the series into darker and more dangerous territory, where consequence and escalation bring long-running storylines to a powerful and emotional breaking point," the trailer's description says.
"Campaign drops players into trench warfare in Korea, close-quarters combat in New York, high-octane chases through Paris, SAS night raids in Mumbai, and city-wide assaults to reclaim occupied territory."
In addition to the campaign, multiplayer and DMZ will take center stage with the new release:
Multiplayer mode will include 12 Core maps with locations around the world, while DMZ will drop solo players and teams into combat zones.
The game will be released on XBOX Series X/S, PlayStation 5, PC and Nintendo Switch 2.
