Von Miller Lobbies Hard for Broncos Contract, 'I Can Still Roll Out of Bed and Rush the QB'
As NFL teams begin OTAs and other offseason workouts, veteran linebacker Von Miller remains unsigned.
But the Super Bowl 50 MVP is hoping to get a chance to play for his former team. Miller told Parker Gabriel of the Denver Post that he's been lobbying for a spot on the Denver Broncos' roster.
"I lobby. I do lobby," Miller said. "I lobby publicly, I lobby privately. I do lobby. I think there's no question the type of environment I bring to a locker room and to a team. I don't like to pat myself on the back, but at 37 years old I can still roll out of bed and rush the quarterback. I'm still a great guy in the locker room, I bring great energy and I'm going to make sure everybody is ready to go."

Miller hasn't been a Pro Bowler since 2019, but he put together a solid season with the Washington Commanders in 2025 as he racked up 26 tackles and nine sacks.
Miller said he isn't expecting a starting job, but a role similar to that which he played in Washington.
"Last year I played 37 percent of the defensive snaps," Miller said. "Thirty (percent) with the Denver Broncos and I feel like I can do the same exact thing I did with the Washington Commanders."
The Broncos had one of the best defenses in the league last year, which might make it more difficult for Miller to find a place on the talented roster. If Denver does bring him back, he believes he can still make an impact.
