Brock Lesnar Beats Oba Femi at WWE Clash in Italy After Teasing Retirement at WrestleMania 42

Mike ChiariMay 31, 2026

After losing to Oba Femi at WrestleMania 42 in April, Brock Lesnar got revenge Sunday with a victory over The Ruler at WWE Clash in Italy.

Lesnar threw everything he could at Femi, who withstood most of it. In all, it took seven F5s, including one through the table, to secure the victory for The Beast Incarnate.

Lesnar teased a third match against Femi to settle the score:

Leading up to WrestleMania, Paul Heyman called for someone to step up and make a name for themselves by challenging Lesnar, and Femi did precisely that.

After weeks of trying to keep Lesnar and Femi apart, they finally locked horns on The Grandest Stage of Them All, and what ensued was a fairly big surprise on multiple fronts.

It took Femi less than five minutes to beat The Beast, and he required only one of his Fall From Grace finishers in order to do so.

After The Ruler celebrated and left the ring, Lesnar lingered, and he shocked the WWE Universe when he removed his boots and gloves and left them in the ring, which is typically an indication of retirement.

Heyman played up the retirement angle in the weeks that followed, but it didn't last for long, as The Beast returned on the May 18 episode of Raw by interrupting Femi's open challenge.

Lesnar attacked The Ruler and hit him with four F-5s, emphatically signaling his return to the ring after just a few weeks away.

Heyman provided Raw general manager Adam Pearce with a contract for a Lesnar vs. Femi rematch at Clash in Italy, and given his desire to get back at his rival for the sneak attack, The Ruler quickly signed on to make it official.

Even though there wasn't a title on the line, the stakes were high, as Lesnar was out for retribution while Femi sought to prove his WrestleMania win wasn't a fluke.

With Lesnar coming out on top against Femi at Clash in Italy and evening things up at 1-1, it seems likely that a rubber match will take place between them in the near future.
