In recent weeks, Danhausen has been synonymous with the Knicks' success due to his cursing and subsequent uncursing of the franchise.
Last month, Danhausen appeared on ESPN's First Take and cursed the Knicks because he didn't like the way ESPN personality Stephen A. Smith was treating him.
The Knicks fell behind 2-1 to the Atlanta Hawks in the first round of the playoffs after that, but Danhausen then reversed the curse when someone paid him to do so on Cameo:
Since that moment, the Knicks have remarkably won 11 consecutive games and reached the NBA Finals for the first time since 1999.
Smith was among those celebrating the accomplishment, and Danhausen hilariously took some credit for it in a response to Smith's post on X:
Danhausen also joked that Knicks superstar guard Jalen Brunson had taken up cursing in his own right due to the similarities between a pose Brunson did during Game 4 and his own cursing pose:
Now, the Knicks will await their opponent, as the Oklahoma City Thunder and San Antonio Spurs are tied 2-2 in the Western Conference Finals.
That means New York will received plenty of rest before the start of the NBA Finals, which could be a good thing in terms of healing up from potential injuries, or a bad thing in terms of halting the team's remarkable momentum.
Regardless, the Knicks still have Danhausen's curse on their side, and they'll undoubtedly take any advantage they can get as they seek their first NBA championship since 1973.
