Kimi Antonelli extended his own personal dominance and Mercedes' control of the 2026 Formula 1 season with a Sunday win in Montreal.

Antonelli captured his fourth victory of the season at the Canadian Grand Prix.

Antonelli spent most of the first part of the race competing for the top spot with his Mercedes teammate George Russell.

Russell did not finish the race due to a power unit failure. That allowed two of the most experienced drivers on the grid to take the other two podium spots.

Lewis Hamilton took his Ferrari into second place. It was the second podium finish and highest-ever finish for Hamilton with Ferrari.

Max Verstappen produced his first podium finish of the season for Red Bull Racing. The Dutchman's had a tough start to the season with just one top-five finish in the first four races.

Antonelli's win helped Mercedes push its advantage in the constructors' championship to 77 points. Mercedes has 194 points from the first five races.

Ferrari (117 points) and McLaren (106 points) sit second and third in the constructors' standings with Red Bull far off in fourth with 32 points.

Next up on the Formula 1 docket is the trip to Monaco for one of the crown jewel races in all of motorsports. The Monaco Grand Prix takes place on June 7.
