Busch was also honored during NASCAR's race at Charlotte Motor Speedway:

Per Michael Marot of the Associated Press, the 41-year-old received tributes before and during the Indy 500 with his former car numbers (No. 8 and No. 18) at the forefront. Some examples are below.

Busch died after severe pneumonia progressed into sepsis, which caused "rapid and overwhelming associated complications," according to a statement released by the Busch family.

He is a two-time NASCAR Cup Series champion (2015, 2019) and won a record 234 NASCAR national series race wins over the Cup Series, O'Reilly Series and Truck Series.
