Brady Enjoying Yet Another Productive Season
Brady hasn't missed a regular-season game due to injury since he tore his ACL in Week 1 of the 2008 campaign, so the Patriots will be hoping that streak stays alive Sunday.
The Pats were bracing themselves for a few weeks without Brady leading up to the 2015 season after he was suspended by the NFL for four games due to his alleged involvement in the Deflategate scandal. But he ultimately won out in court, and the league's ban was nullified.
Brady and the Patriots stumbled out of the gate last season, but he ended up enjoying another excellent statistical year to the tune of 4,109 passing yards, 33 touchdowns and just nine interceptions. He was also great throughout the playoffs, leading New England to a Super Bowl title for the fourth time.
As pointed out by NFL on ESPN, there has not been a more prolific passer in NFL postseason history than No. 12:
Brady is equally important in the regular season, though, which is why Patriots fans and those involved with the organization are likely quite concerned about his health.
Not only is the former University of Michigan standout a great individual player, but as described by wide receiver Danny Amendola leading up to the 2015 campaign, Brady also makes those around him better, per Chris Mason of the Boston Herald:
"Tom's our leader," Amendola said. "He's been doing it for a long time at a very high level, and he gets a lot of guys going. We love playing for him."
