Alexander Zverev began his quest for a first career Grand Slam title with a routine straight-set win over Benjamin Bonzi.
The 2024 French Open finalist stayed consistent from the baseline and excelled at the net, winning 17 of 24 points.
Nisesh Basavareddy stunned Taylor Fritz, earning his first career Top-10 win.
After dropping the first two sets, Fritz finally got on board, winning a third-set tiebreaker, but Basavareddy's ball placement and well-executed drop shot proved to be too much.
In the final match of the day, Novak Djokovic withstood heavy-serving crowd favorite Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard in four sets.
After dropping the first set, Djokovic found his way back into the match late in the second set before ultimately prevailing with ease.
The action continues tomorrow on TNT, which will broadcast live from Roland-Garros starting at 5 a.m. ET. There will also be whip-around coverage on truTV at the same time, while all courts will stream live on HBO Max.

Match of the Day: Andrey Rublev (11) vs. Ignacio Buse
Blistering forehands will collide when Ignacio Buse and Andrey Rublev meet on Monday.

The 22-year-old Peruvian earned wins over Flavio Cobolli, Jakub Mensik, and Tommy Paul in the final—all while entering as a qualifier.
Andrey Rublev may be the favorite to win this match, but given Buse's current form, an upset should not be ruled off the table in what has the potential to be a five-set thriller.

Match of the Day: Jasmine Paolini (13) vs. Dayana Yastremska
Jasmine Paolini will look to jumpstart her 2026 French Open campaign with a win over Dayana Yastremska
However, the two-time Grand Slam finalist is entering Roland Garros with a foot injury which could put her in a vulnerable question.
Paolini has yet to win back-to-back matches on the clay swing this year, and while she enters this match as the favorite, Yastremska is capable of pulling off the upset with her relentless and blistering aggression.
Prediction: Dayana Yastremska def. No. 13 Jasmine Paolini in 3 sets
