What's Next For Sol Ruca, Ethan Page and More After SNME 44?
Another edition of WWE Saturday Night's Main Event is in the books. The show took place in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and three of the five matches on the card saw titles being defended.
Here is a look at the card from Saturday's show:
Let's take a look at what could be next for some of the winners and losers from SNME 44.
Sol Ruca and Jade Cargill Prepare for Title Matches
1 of 4
Sol Ruca and Jade Cargill were both successful at Saturday Night's Main Event, although Ruca was disappointed to win by DQ instead of getting a decisive pin.
Next weekend, both women will challenge their respective rivals for gold. Ruca will challenge Lynch for the women's intercontinental title, and Cargill will fight Ripley for the WWE Women's Championship.
Between the two of them, Ruca is more likely to leave Italy with a new belt. WWE clearly wants her to be successful, and having her beat The Man for her first main roster championship is an easy way to set her on that path.
Ripley will probably hold onto her title through the summer, so The Storm is going to have to find something else to keep her busy after Clash in Italy.
Ethan Page
2 of 4
Page came up short against Penta in their showdown for the Intercontinental Championship, but he definitely made a good impression.
This match felt like a test for All Ego to see if he could deliver on a big stage, and he passed with flying colors.
It's more a matter of when than if he will get the IC title, but it might not be right away. With other challengers like Je'Von Evans waiting in the wings, he is going to have some competition before he earns another title shot.
It wouldn't be surprising to see Evans win the belt in the near future, only to drop it to Page later in the year. The history between them would create a great storyline, too.
The Street Profits
3 of 4
While they looked like a well-oiled machine on Saturday, The Street Profits still came up short against The Vision.
WWE has been planting some seeds with Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins having issues in recent weeks, and it's very possible we see that frustration continue to grow.
As fun as they are as a team, the Profits have been together in WWE for almost a decade. It's time to see what they can both do on their own.
If this is the route WWE wants to go, we will see them begin to have more breakdowns in communication before one of them finally snaps and makes the breakup official.
Paige and Brie Bella
4 of 4
After successfully defeated Nia Jax and Lash Legend again, Brie Bella and Paige are ready for a new set of challengers.
The women's tag team division doesn't have a lot of depth in WWE at the moment, but there are still a couple of teams who can pose a threat.
Fatal Influence seems like the perfect team to step up as the next challengers. Any combination of the three would work, but Fallon Henley and Lainey Reid would be the best option if WWE wants to have Jacy Jayne chase a singles title at the same time.
Having all three women holding titles would instantly make them power players in the division, and with the way the crowd has embraced them since their arrival, WWE should be doing everything it can to capitalize on their momentum.
