WWE Saturday Night's Main Event 44 Results, Winners, Live Grades, Highlights From Indiana

Chris MuellerMay 23, 2026

Welcome to Bleacher Report's live coverage of Saturday Night's Main Event on May 23.

The 44th edition of this show featured five matches, with three of them highlighting 12 members of the women's division.

Here's a look at the lineup from Saturday's show:

  • Becky Lynch vs. Sol Ruca
  • Penta vs. Ethan Page (Men's Intercontinental Championship)
  • The Vision vs. Street Profits (Men's Tag Team Championships)
  • Rhea Ripley, Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss vs. Jade Cargill, B-Feb and Michin
  • Brie Bella and Paige vs. Irresistible Forces (Women's Tag Team Championships)
  • Let's take a look at everything that went down on this weekend's SNME special.

Charlotte Flair, Alexa Bliss and Rhea Ripley vs. Jade Cargill, B-Fab and Michin

    1 of 6
    SmackDown

Last time in action: Charlotte Flair and Rhea Ripley defeated Fatal Influence (SD, May 22), Flair and Alexa Bliss defeated B-Fab and Michin (SD, May 15), Jade Cargill lost to Ripley (WrestleMania 42)

Michael Cole welcomed us to the show before WWE aired a video to hype the event. The first match on the card was the six-woman tag with Rhea Ripley, Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss taking on Jade Cargill, B-Fab and Michin.

Cargill opted not to face Ripley at first, so she tagged in B-Fab to start the match. The women's champion took control and tagged in Bliss for a quick double-team. The heels were able to take control once Flair tagged in by cutting the ring in half with quick tags and double-team moves.

The crowd popped when The Eradictor got the hot tag late in the match. It looked like Flair and Ripley finally found common ground and had a nice moment with Bliss before it finally came to an end with Cargill hitting Ripley with Jaded for the win.

It was probably smart to start the show with this match. There were no titles on the line, and it didn't really matter who won, but it had enough action to get the crowd excited. In fact, it's safe to say this bout exceeded expectations.

Result: Cargill, B-Fab and Michin defeated Ripley, Bliss and Flair

    Grade: B

    Notable Moments and Observations

  • The video package showing highlights from past SNME shows was great.
  • Flair's gear was covered in friendship bracelets she has received from fans over the years. Jade's team wore gear paying homage to Michael Jackson.
  • It was nice to hear Cole mention some of Michin's previous accomplishments, especially since WWE has never booked her to win a title.
  • Michin's poison rana was a nice spot.
  • B-Fab has clearly made some improvements, but she still feels a little out of place on the main roster.
  • Becky Lynch vs. Sol Ruca

    Monday Night RAW

Last time in action: Becky Lynch defeated Iyo Sky (Raw, April 27), Sol Ruca lost to Iyo Sky (Raw, May 11)

Sol Ruca was hoping to earn an IC title shot by defeating the current champion, Becky Lynch. She had a quick interview with Cathy Kelley backstage before making her entrance.

The Man decided to take the low road and attacked Ruca before the bell by throwing the IC title at her and then beating her down. She argued with the referee until Ruca recovered and knocked her down. The ref called for the bell, and Ruca picked up Lynch to plant her on her face.

The high-flyer hit a series of high-impact moves to keep Lynch on defense. The champion pulled the ref into the path of the Sol Snatcher, and it ended up leading to the ref calling for the bell.

The announcer said Lynch was disqualified, but Wade Barrett seemed to think she said the wrong name and it should have been the other way around. Lynch came back to the ring and attacked Ruca with three Manhandle Slams.

The match was fun for the few minutes we got, but the way it ended took the wind out of its sails. Having the announcers seem confused about who got disqualified made it even weirder.

    Result:Ā Ruca won by DQ

    Grade:Ā C

    Notable Moments and Observations

  • Ruca is one of the best talents to come out of the NIL program.
  • Wade Barrett had a funny rant before the match about how much results matter.
  • Ruca needs to slow down sometimes. Her springboard flip into a clothesline didn't quite land the way she wanted.
  • Penta vs. Ethan Page

    3 of 6
    Monday Night RAW

Last time in action: Rusev and Ethan Page defeated Penta and Je'Von Evans (Raw, May 4)

The first of three title matches saw Penta defend his men's IC title against Ethan Page. All Ego gave an interview before the match, saying this was the most important night of his career.

Penta started with a go behind into a waistlock to kickstart a series of counters and reversals. Page miscalculated a counter and ended up taking a kick to the gut, but he recovered right away and took the champ down in the corner.

As expected, this was a competitive fight that allowed both men to play to their strengths. Penta used a quicker pace when he was in control, while Page slowed things down a bit to be more methodical.

This got the crowd back into the show after the previous match was a bit of a letdown. They had enough time to make it entertaining, and it felt like either competitor could get the win at any time.

After a commendable performance from two veterans, Page's own dirty tactic was used against him when Penta shoved him into an exposed turnbuckle before hitting a destroyer for the win to retain his title.

    Result:Ā Penta defeated Page

    Grade:Ā A-

    Notable Moments and Observations

  • The video package for Page vs. Penta was fantastic. Barrett did a good job narrating it, too.
  • Having Lilian Garcia serve as the ring announcer was a nice touch.
  • Cole mentioned that the IC title has been defended 17 times at SNME, but only changed hands once.
  • Penta almost flew over Page when he hit a crossbody.

Paige and Brie Bella vs. Nia Jax and Lash Legend

    4 of 6
    Monday Night RAW

Last time in action: The Irresistible Forces lost to Brie Bella and Paige (SD, May 1)

The women's tag titles were up for grabs when Paige and Brie Bella put the belts on the line against the former champions, Lash Legend and Nia Jax.

Jax tried to attack the champions before the bell, but they dodged her and took control right away. Brie hit a few moves from the top rope, but she tried one too many and got caught with a Samoan drop.

The challengers spent a long time dominating Paige. They both had a big power advantage and made sure to use it to throw her around.

While this match had some good moments, it had a few too many that didn't work. They brought good energy to the ring, though. Paige and Brie ended up scoring the win to retain their titles.

Result:Ā Bella and Paige defeated Jax and Legend

    Grade:Ā C+

    Notable Moments and Observations

  • It's kind of cool how Brie and Paige each have their own unique side plates for the belts.
  • If she keeps improving, Legend could be a world champion by WrestleMania 43. She has the character side of it down. She just need a bit more polishing in the ring.
  • The spot with Paige pulling down the rope to send Legend out of the ring looked very slow and way too planned.
  • The Vision vs. The Street Profits

    5 of 6
    WWE Backlash

Last time in action: The Street Profits and Joe Hendry defeated The Vision (Raw, May 11)

The men's tag title bout served as the main event. Logan Paul and Austin Theory defended the belts against Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins.

The crowd was loud and both teams played into it before they got the match started. Ford almost got a quick win with a rollup while Theory was distracted trying to help Paul ignore the chants.

Tez had both opponents reeling all by himself before he tagged in Dawkins for some double-team fun. Heyman tried to get his team to make an early exit, but the Profits chased them and brought them back to the ring.

The Vision finally managed to get the upper hand and kept Dawkins isolated in their corner for a little while. Ford got the hot tag and the Profits almost won with a Doomsday Blockbuster. The crowd chanted "This is awesome" as both teams tried to recover.

Bron Breakker tried to interfere, but the Profits saw him coming and sent him over the announce table. They had the match won, but Heyman put Theory's foot on the bottom rope to save him.

Paul nailed Ford with his brass knuckles, allowing Theory to cover him for the pin and the win. This was an entertaining main event, but WWE had a chance to have an exciting title change and didn't take it.

Result:Ā The Vision defeated The Street Profits

    Grade:Ā B+

    Notable Moments and Observations

  • Ruca vs. Lynch for the women's IC title was added to Clash in Italy.
  • It's still mindboggling how WWE kept the Profits on the bench for months for no reason. Barrett said they went AWOL for a little while.
  • Dawkins' jumping enziguiri looked great.
  • Paul almost had a really bad landing when he was sent over the top rope by Ford.
  • The Final Word

    WWE: Saturday Night's Main Event

This edition of Saturday Night's Main Event featured some good action, but it felt like WWE missed a couple of opportunities.

The only real letdown was Ruca and Lynch's match being so short with a DQ finish. It set up a title match for next weekend, but it felt like the kind of thing that would have worked better on an episode of Raw.

The main event was fun, but would have been better if it ended with a title change for the Profits.

The best thing we saw all night was Page vs. Penta. They delivered a top-notch performance that made both men look great, but some might have been disappointed that Page didn't win his first main roster title here.

The hot crowd helped make the show more enjoyable, but the men and women in the ring made it easy for them to get into it.
