SEC Baseball Tournament 2026 Wednesday Schedule and Bracket Predictions

Joe TanseyMay 20, 2026

Two upsets on the first day of the 2026 SEC tournament set up mismatches on paper for Wednesday's four-game slate in Hoover, Alabama.

The Missouri Tigers, who had the worst record in league play, will try to continue their potential Cinderella run against the Mississippi State Bulldogs in Wednesday's opener.

The LSU Tigers aren't a true Cinderella because they are the reigning national champion. They did struggle in the regular season and land the No. 14 season, but they are least more dangerous than Missouri.

The Auburn Tigers should still win the nightcap over LSU, but there's more of a chance for LSU to make things interesting than Missouri.

SEC Tournament Wednesday Schedule

No. 8 Mississippi State vs. No. 16 Missouri (10:30 a.m. ET, SEC Network)

No. 5 Florida vs. No. 12 Vanderbilt (2 p.m. ET, SEC Network)

No. 7 Arkansas vs. No. 10 Tennessee (5:30 p.m. ET, SEC Network)

No. 6 Auburn vs. No. 14 LSU (9 p.m. ET, SEC Network)

Missouri entered the SEC tournament with a 6-24 league record and two wins since May 1.

The Tigers managed to put up 10 runs on an NCAA tournament team in Ole Miss and are alive for another day in Hoover.

Mississippi State might be a bit vulnerable because it lost four of its last five games, but it is still the 16th-ranked team in the country.

The Bulldogs scored over 10 runs in five of their last eight wins. If they get their bats going on Wednesday, they should cruise past Missouri.

LSU ended a six-game losing streak by beating the Oklahoma Sooners on Tuesday night.

LSU faces a far more difficult task on Wednesday against 36-win Auburn, who is one of the many teams you could make a case for to win the SEC tournament.

Auburn has all sorts of power as well. It put up a double-digit run total in five of its last seven victories.

Wednesday's other two games should be closer, especially the clash between the Arkansas Razorbacks and Tennessee Volunteers.

The Razorbacks and Vols are both nationally ranked and should contest a tight affair in Hoover.

The Vanderbilt Commodores ride a four-game winning streak into their clash with the Florida Gators.

Florida's won eight of its last nine games and it appears to be one of the top favorites to claim the crown in Hoover.

Mississippi State 12, Missouri 6
