
Caitlin Clark Named Grand Marshal for 2026 Indy 500, Fever Star Reacts to Honor
Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark is serving as grand marshal for the 2026 Indianapolis 500.
Clark will give drivers the command to report to their cars at Indianapolis Motor Speedway this Sunday, according to IndyCar.

Other athletes who have served as the race's grand marshal include New York Yankees legends Derek Jeter and Alex Rodriguez, who shared the role in 2025.
The 2026 race is being presented by Gainbridge, which also sponsors the Fever's home arena of Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
"I'm honored to represent Gainbridge as grand marshal of the Indy 500," Clark said in a statement. "I'm looking forward to experiencing an iconic piece of what makes Indiana so special and being part of the time-honored tradition of 'The Greatest Spectacle in Racing.'"
Clark, who will be in Indianapolis after playing the visiting Golden State Valkyries on Friday night, has averaged 24.3 points and nine assists per game during the Fever's 2-2 start to the season.
The Indy 500 field is being led by Alex Palou, who is starting from pole position after winning the 2025 race.
