George Kittle Claps Back at Video Claiming He Became 'Bandwagon' Thunder Fan for NBA Playoffs
After being featured prominently in the front row supporting the Oklahoma City Thunder in Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals on Monday night, George Kittle found himself explaining his connection to the NBA club.
Responding to a fan on X who claimed he is a "bandwagon" Thunder fan, Kittle pointed out he graduated from Norman High School in Oklahoma.
Despite being widely known for his connections to Iowa, Kittle had a brief stint living in Oklahoma when his dad worked for Bob Stoops on the Sooners' coaching staff.
That period also coincided with the Thunder's first wave of success when they had Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook and James Harden, so it would be hard not to root for them at that point if you were a teenager growing up in the area.
Now, more than a decade later, the Thunder have been back on top of the NBA world for awhile. They will need some help, though, after dropping Game 1 to the San Antonio Spurs in double-overtime on Monday night.
