After the attack, it was revealed that Lesnar has signed a deal to fight Femi at the WWE Clash in Italy.
After losing to Femi at WrestleMania 42 last month, it seemed Lesnar was ready to call it a career. He took off his boots and gloves and left them in the ring before having an emotional moment.
Afterwards, WWE icon Triple H was asked whether we might have seen Lesnar's final fight.
"Well, it certainly seemed that way," he said (h/t Derek Holloway of Ringside News). "Brock is not a walk-back-through-the-curtain-and-have-a-long-conversation guy. Brock walks back very angry, goes to his bus, and that's the end of it. So there wasn't a discussion afterward."
Lesnar's retirement was reportedly expected this year, but the timing apparently caught WWE officials by surprise, per a report from Fightful Select, which noted that many expected 2026 SummerSlam to be Lesnar's final event.
Now that it's become clear that Lesnar isn't done, the question is when he will call it a career.
In the days following Lesnar's apparent retirement, a handful of rumors offered some insight into his real retirement plan. One report from WrestleVotes Radio (h/t Steve Carrier of Ringside News) said that sources still expected Lesnar to retire after SummerSlam in Minneapolis.
"Lesnar, who attended the University of Minnesota and has been billed from Minneapolis, Minnesota, throughout his entire WWE career, has only wrestled two televised matches in the state, with the last taking place in January of 2004," the report said. "One contact told us the company is more than hopeful he will be on the card come August 1st and 2nd at U.S. Bank Stadium downtown Minneapolis."
The WWE Clash in Italy takes place in just a few weeks at the end of May, where it seems fans will get to see at least one more fight from Lesnar.
