Paige Bueckers, Azzi Fudd, Lauren Betts' Final Box Score Stats, Highlights as Wings Beat Mystics

Paige Bueckers powered the Dallas Wings to a dominant 92-69 home victory over Lauren Betts and the Washington Mystics on Monday as Dallas secured its second win of the season to move back to .500 at 2-2.

The Wings broke the game open with a commanding 28-point third quarter, overwhelming Washington on both ends of the floor to pull away for the convincing victory.

Bueckers finished with 18 points on 58 percent shooting from the field with three rebounds and seven assists in another strong all-around performance.

Rookie Azzi Fudd added 12 points, three assists and a steal while Jessica Shepard recorded 12 points and 16 rebounds for a double-double.

Maddy Siegrist provided a spark off the bench with 10 points and Arike Ogunbowale chipped in 16 points in the win.

For the Washington Mystics, Lauren Betts finished with 11 points and three rebounds while Shakira Austin led the way with 12 points and four rebounds. Sonia Citron added seven points.

The Dallas Wings carried a nine-point lead into halftime behind balanced scoring efforts. Bueckers scored five points while Ogunbowale added seven. Siegrist provided a spark off the bench with eight points.

For the Washington Mystics, Austin led the way with 10 first-half points while Citron added four.

After building a lead as large as 25 points in the third quarter, the Dallas Wings never looked back. 

With Dallas holding a 22-point advantage late in the fourth, both teams emptied their benches with just under three minutes remaining as the Wings cruised to the lopsided victory.

Washington opened the season with a two-point victory over the Toronto Tempo before falling 98-93 in overtime to the New York Liberty. The Mystics bounced back in another overtime battle, defeating Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever behind a 30-point performance from Sonia Citron.

Dallas began its season with a three-point win over Clark and the Fever before dropping back-to-back games against the Atlanta Dream and Minnesota Lynx. Bueckers scored 27 points in the loss to Minnesota.

Washington will travel to face the Seattle Storm on Sunday and Wednesday while Dallas heads to take on the Chicago Sky on Wednesday.
